28 July 2015 - Kent Food Forum
The University of Greenwich together with the Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce will be organising a food & Drinks industry event to bring together professionals and businesses in food manufacturing, food service, public health, research and retail to explore challenges, opportunities and solutions for food and health industry.

7 October 2015 - The Manufacturing & Electronics Expo 2015
The Manufacturing and Electronics Expo is an inspirational business-to-business show that has been designed to support and showcase everything that is great about the manufacturing and electronics sector. BIG will continue its active role to support the planning and organisation of the event.

24 June 2015 - Industrial Workshop
UoG organised an Industrial Workshop for manufacturing SMEs, co-ordinated by the Centre for Innovative Product Development and Manufacturing (CiPDM) held at the University of Greenwich on Wednesday 24th June 2015 in conjunction with the international conference on computer aided design and applications (CAD&A 2015).

25 June 2015 - Kent Excellence in Business Awards
BIG-Kent supported this year’s Kent Excellence in Business Awards (KEiBA) at the Kent Event Centre, Detling on Thursday, June 25 and co-sponsored the Manufacturing Category. The ceremony, staged and produced by Kent County Council and the KM Media Group, awarded businesses and individuals across 15 categories. This year KEiBA attracted over 300 entries for judges to consider. In addition, the awards event, which was hosted by kmfm’s Rob Wills and Nicola Everett, had its largest attendance with 630 people from across the Kent business community taking part in the celebrations.


There are a number of Focus Groups that work in partnership with the BIG network. The focus groups are made up of academic experts, practicing engineers, technologists and senior managers and directors of engineering and technology companies. The focus groups on a regular basis run events, best practice visits, seminars and workshops relating to their concerned areas of interest.
