About the group

The Innovative Product Development Focus Group as part of the BIG-Kent network brings together companies in Kent and the INTERREG region, to discuss and share experiences in manufacturing engineering, focusing on strategic issues related to new product development, product lifecycle management, lean manufacturing, six sigma and statistical process control. The group is interested in collaborative product development, maintenance and service management, sustainability, innovation and knowledge management, manufacturing planning, supply chain management, quality management, and customer requirement management. The group is led by Prof James Gao from the UoG who heads up the Centre for Innovative Product Development and Manufacturing (CiPDM) at the University of Greenwich. For more details please visit,
